Don’t miss the opportunity to visit Russia’s most important exhibition on mining technology UGOL ROSSII & MINING 2010 in Novokuznetsk/Russia

Make a stop in Novokuznetsk in West Siberia from 1 – 4 June 2010.
The location is placed in the Kuznetsk basin/Kuzbass which is rich in ore and thus is the most important industry centre for the iron and steel smelting, the chemical industry as well as the aluminium and coke production in Russia.

Novokuznetsk: The ideal location for your business in mining. The huge number of exhibitors and visitors of the exhibition in 2009 is the proof. Make use of this podium 2010 for building up of promising contacts in one of the world’s most expanding market for the mining industry.

Go ahead and book exhibition space at UGOL ROSSII & MINING 2010. Together with our co-operation partners and the offices on the spot, we will plan and organize for you an industrial show with a professional infrastructure – starting from the visitor advertisement up to the planning and the construction of your exhibition stand.

On the Upward Trend

Russia is one of the most attractive and most growth-orientated national economies in the world. Even the global economic crisis has not been able to change that to any great degree. Despite the negative development in the second half of 2008, the gross domestic product still considerably showed single digit growth in the annual average.

The government is already announcing the end of the recession, after the economy again showed positive progress in the third quarter of this year. Just as the crisis hit the raw materials suppliers the hardest, so are they now among the first to benefit from the economic recovery and the corresponding increase in demand for raw materials and energy carriers.

On Investment Course

As a result, the planners and doers of the primary sector are getting back to normal again. And the order of the day is large-scale infrastructure projects: Primarily the modernisation of existing raw material mines and fields and, consequently, the increase of productivity and sustainability, as well as the opening up of new mining areas and the extension of the manufacturing industry and the necessary modern logistics and transport systems by water and by rail. To give just one example of the upcoming, gigantic fiscal transfers – according to the plans of the Russian Energy Strategy – in the Republic of Sakha alone, in the region of 70 billion EUR have been earmarked for necessary investments up until the year 2020.

On the High-Tech Track

The most important point of this Energy Strategy agenda is the increase in coal production from the current 320 million tonnes a year to 400-430 million tonnes by 2020.
One of the most significant centres of this course of expansion is the Kuznetsk Basin, where approximately 60% of Russian coal is currently mined and where the UGOL ROSSII & MINING venue is located. For this ambitious growth programme, by which the companies have not only set their sights on the more effi cient supply of existing European consumers, but which is also focusing on expansion into the Asian market, state-of-the-art technology is above all required. The Russian companies in this regard put their faith in the knowledge and know-how of Western suppliers, making inquiries on-site about machinery, plants as well as consultation and service.
Consequently, for companies from the large mining technology sector, a fertile field of new business potential is offered at the UGOL ROSSII & MINING, one of the most important mining industry trade fairs for Russian industry, which will open its doors again in Novokuznetsk between 1st and 4th of June 2010.
